Meet Rowen. 1 Year Old and Rolling With Ookkie!

We spoke to mum, Ellie, to learn a bit more about Rowen's journey with the Ookkie. Here's what they had to say.

What was your reason for getting an Ookkie?

Adventuring and balance development.

Describe the learning experience on the Ookkie for us.

Been so impressed with how quickly she has picked up the concept. Once on the board and holding on she keeps herself steady. She naturally slightly bent her knees so didn't need to try to teach that. Relies on me for steering which getting that right has been the most difficult part.

Do you get any comments when you're out and about riding the board?

Every time we go out. So many conversations with people about the unique concept of the learner skateboard. How good it is she has the correct safety gear. How impressed people are when they watch us cruising for a while with her smiling and waving as we go past.

How has the Ookkie helped your little one in their development?

When first got it, she didn't really stand unaided. In just a month since her birthday, her independent standing has become perfect. Before using the Ookkie, we had not seen her squat or stand back, which she regularly does when cruising on the Ookkie.

How has the Ookkie become a part of your family life and routine?

I work half days on Friday's, so every Friday we now go on a new Ookkie adventure exploring at the park. Being summer in the UK it lives at the back door as well so when weather is nice we practice in the back garden.
